We set out on a recent trip to buy a weanling colt out of Sonny's Silver Dollar. We ended with something even better and completely
unexpected...Silver Dollars full brother "Sonny's Silver Bullet"! We've watched this young stud since he was born and never imagined we'd one day have the opportunity to bring him home. Bullet shows promise of having an outstanding, show quality gait that will be highlighted by his gorgeous chocolate roan coloring. He's proving to be intelligent, sweet, and willing as we progress with his training. As with most of our horses, we have no doubt he'll also become a great trail horse. On top of his good looks and sound mind, Bullet also boasts a unique bloodline that is almost being lost to the Mt Horse world. His sire, Sonny, is the only remaining son of Smith's Ginger. Sonny, an outstanding old stallion of his own accord, has produced some outstanding show and trail horses. Sonny only has three direct son's (stallions) out there of which Bullet is one. Bullet's roan coloring comes from his dam, I'm a Fancy Dawn. She is also recognized for her quality foals including Dock's Elegance, Top Gun's Maverick, Fairwinds Remington West, and Sonny's Silver Dollar.

Bullet is black based, carries red, and has a 50/50 chance of passing on his Roan gene. Although both his dam and his brother are to date producing about 75% roan offspring, so we suspect Bullet will have the same tendency. Bullet will be offered at limited stud in '08 to select mares only.
